The management of companies is large and fairly discussed to suit various contexts such as trade and services, durable and non-durable goods and, of course, technology. Technology companies have peculiarities that the others do not have, and for that reason, they end up changing their management models so they can work more effectively in environments with extreme competitiveness and constant changes.

Some models adopted by technology companies are successful in other sectors of the market today, but management innovation is still a role of these companies that need to adapt quickly to market changes. A traditional management model hardly ever contributes to a dynamic environment such as the ones in technology companies, so seeking models that are innovative and best suited to this reality has been one of the major challenges of many entrepreneurs.

ITIL – Information Technology Infrastructure Library

This is the management model that Brazilian technology companies adopt the most. ITIL seeks to build high quality and efficiency processes focused on the client. From best market practices, gathered in 26 subjects and five volumes, ITIL does not need technologies to be applied and greatly improves the internal controls in order to reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction, delivering more than products, that is, delivering value.

 

BSC-Balance Scorecard

Well known of the most experienced management professionals, BSC is a methodology that confronts business strategy with its performance, developing performance indicators for the company. BSC is based on four integrated perspectives, without which the company cannot reach optimal growth and competitiveness. They are: finance, customers, internal processes, and learning and growth processes.

As BSC is a methodology that accompanies all the company management, it is possible to identify the past and predict future trends, giving greater competitive advantage to the technology company through cause and effect diagrams that demonstrate how, when and why each situation occurs, has occurred or will occur.

 

PMBOK-Project Management

One of the most renowned management works for IT companies is the PMBOK Guide, which has a set of best practices to be applied in the execution of any type of project, as well as ITIL.

Companies that adopt project management as a management model become more agile and effective in developing solutions for their customers, optimizing both human and financial resources in the achievement of their projects.

The workforce allocation is made according to each project demand and the practices listed show the most effective paths so that there is synergy among those involved in the project and better use of everyone’s time and effort.
